My thoughts on the topics and manner of birth of some of my works:
In the painting “In the womb” from 1997, “Inside-Outside from 2005 and “Horses playing in the garden” from 2010 the same topic and form theme emerge. A square pierced by its diagonal and standing on its vertex is found in several of my first drawings from the time I was three or four. In the nineties I found notebooks my mother had saved, and I became fascinated again by the basic form of the octahedron, which was found in my drawings in different sizes and colours. In that form I have experienced something fantastic that appealed to me and was eternal. The same form of an octahedron I found again later through mathematics as I investigated crystals, nature’s jewels, and regular solids in space geometry.
